2026/2027 Call for Scores

South Florida New Music Collective is announcing its first call for scores! We are inviting local South Florida composers or composers with deep ties to the four SoFlo counties (Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, & Monroe) to apply.

Applications are due November 30th, 2026.

Application Guidelines


Guidelines

  • Submit your score (PDF) & a recording (MP3) of your work. (MIDI mockups are acceptable, but recordings are highly encouraged).
    Option 1: Pierrot Ensemble (fl. cl. pno. vln. vc.)
    Option 2: Any combination of the 5 instruments mentioned     (min. 3 instruments)

  • Applicants may submit a maximum of two works.

  • Scores & audio files must be anonymous.

  • Application fees for one work submitted is $20, two works is $30.

Eligibility

  • Open to all ages. Emerging & underrepresented composers are highly encouraged to apply.

  • Must have been born, raised, currently live, or went to school in South Florida (Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, or Monroe county).

Timeline

  • Applications are due on November 30th, 2026.

  • Two winners will be announced by mid-January 2027.

  • Rehearsals will take place in late March/early April 2027.

  • Public performances will take place in late April 2027.​
