Alejandro Guardia, Jr. is a South Florida–based composer and Euphonium soloist known for creating expressive, genre-blending works that expand the low brass repertoire. His compositions, ranging from solo and chamber music to larger wind ensemble works, draw on influences from Alternative, jazz, and Latin music, as well as myths and legends. These works have been performed by ensembles and artists in educational and professional settings worldwide. As a performer, he is an active freelance Euphonium soloist who appears regularly with bands across South Florida, serves as Principal Euphonium with the Miami Wind Symphony and the Orchid City Brass, and performs regularly with the Miami Low-Frequency Ensemble.
